SlitterWare uses rewind diameter to automatically affect the tension and/or overspeed of the winder. The diameter can either be calculated by length of material run and a gauge input, or measured with an optional ultrasonic sensor. E/P transducers replace the manually controlled regulators for yoke pressure when differential winding, clutch pressure when locked-core winding and for pack roll pressure. Analog outputs from the system control the lead drive and the rewind drive speeds. Programmable profiles are included allowing control of: starting setpoints, taper start diameter, taper end diameter, and ending setpoints. SlitterWare also includes a length counter feature allowing the slitter to run at higher speeds, decelerate, and stop just prior to the programmed roll length. Recipe functionality is included for all controlled setpoints allowing more repeatable winding. SlitterWare is easily upgradeable to the full RollCode
defect flagging/tracking system. |
